The problem with pub quizzes is that, all too often, they can become a game of déjà vu. The same familiar questions seem to crop up time and time again, from the names of long-forgotten pop stars to obscure sporting statistics and well-worn general knowledge facts. Take the perennial favourite: “What’s the name of the only member of ZZ Top without a beard?”

Fortunately, help is at hand in the shape of Paul Sinha: celebrated quizzer, comedian, much-loved television personality and Rose d’Or award winner. With his new series, Paul Sinha’s Perfect Pub Quiz, he sets out to breathe fresh life into the traditional quiz format, turning familiar evenings of questions and answers into an entertaining journey of discovery, drawing on the curious facts, unexpected connections and fascinating snippets of knowledge that have captured the audience’s imagination.

Paul Sinha’s Perfect Pub Quiz promises to challenge the seasoned quizzer, entertain the casual player and remind everyone that behind every good question there may be an even better story. After all, the perfect pub quiz isn’t simply one in which you know all the answers — it’s one that leaves you with something new to talk about long after the final question has been asked.
